What did not work for us?
* We spent over $1,000 on marketing folders. I have over 700 of them

What worked for us?
* We approached multi-unit building owners who we met at REO
association meetings and offered their renters a discount on our
services.
* We approached large businesses in our area and offered to adopt
them.
That's just two of the examples we give in our

You need to ask yourself:
1. Closing the deal When was the last time you read the newspaper and
saw an advertisement for a product that you then went out and
purchased that product?
2. When was the last time you heard an ad on the radio and then went
and purchased that product?
3. How many TV ads are you buying from?

The old ways don't work and worse yet, if you do nothing, you are sure to

My partner and I got together at the end of the first year and

found were things like, "understand your strengths", "Identify your

We got back together again after a few weeks of thinking it through
independently. Sitting in his backyard, we just were quiet and
depressed for a bit. We looked at each other and said, "Look, we are
two smart and energetic guys. If other people can create successful
businesses like Google and Walmart, why can't we?" We sat there and
started writing down what we knew about other successful people in
business. After writing and brainstorming for a while, we came to a few
conclusions:
1. The people moving ahead the fastest are not following the rules,
they are the ones MAKING them.
2. The people moving ahead are not spending lots of money on
advertising.
3. The people moving ahead are not relying on standard marketing
techniques.
Well, that was all fine and dandy but how did that help us? We decided
to look for new ways to get business.
We decided not to spend any more money on traditional marketing
We came up with our own ideas for bringing in new clients. We spent
every evening together for the next month and just brainstormed as many
crazy ideas as we could think of. We were able to create a plan for our
second year that we were very excited about.
We didn't spend much money
We just went about finding new business in interesting ways. We took
all of our failures and successes and put them together to make a new
plan. Six months later and our business was:
Making a profit!
Many other business owners that knew us were asking HOW we were

Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.
ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.
